Congatulations to the Transfer Station Crew!
The City of Santa Rosa recycles cardboard, oil, white goods, and tires through the tire baling project. Mulch is produced from tree waste collected at the landfill and on city streets and processed into mulch for mulching gardens, trees, or landscape re-use.
Cardboard
RECYCLING
This is a Win/Win and Citizens can help! Cardboard receptacles are located behind the DPS Building across from the old Club Cafe.
Cardboard is eliminated from the waste stream, which means it doesn't end up in landfills and the citizens do not have to pay for transportation to the regional landfill. The transfer station is compensated for the re-use cardboard which helps keep YOUR solid waste collection costs down.
